The next stage in your creative life and career starts now.

I'm Daniel Croix, writer/director, actor, and producer. For the past 15 years, I've built a life across film, television, and independent cinema, on Apple TV+, Hulu, and BET, with work at Sundance, Lincoln Center, and Kino Babylon Berlin. For years, when my friends were ready to stop talking and start making, they'd call me. I'm offering that to you.

The honest pitch

The entertainment and arts industry is in a state of rapid change.

Declining production, the rise of AI, and fewer shooting days can be demoralizing. But it's not a time to wallow or put off what you're here to do. It's a time to double down, and to be a part of the new emergence of creative thinking, process, and creation.

Traditional representation is vital, but many artists benefit from something more personalized and incrementally focused. Success in the arts requires rigor of craft, repeatable practice, mindset, and cultural awareness. I'm here to be that thinking partner for you.

I spent over $100,000 on conservatory training. Worth every dollar, but what would have moved the needle fastest was consistent one-on-one time with someone already in the worlds I wanted to be in, to help me see opportunities and turn ambition into concrete action, and fulfilling a deeper purpose. That's what I'm offering.

I've witnessed transformative shifts in the lives of people I've worked with. Actors just starting out who are now first on the call sheet. Filmmakers who shared an idea at a cafe, now premiering at world-class festivals. Friends who were working exclusively in unrelated fields, now breaking into the industry in real, paid, meaningful ways.

Who this is for

Whether you're a professional who has never taken the leap into seriously pursuing a creative path, or an early or mid-career professional in film or television, I understand how to tailor our process for transformative, incremental growth.

How it works

We meet weekly, one-on-one, for 60 minutes via video, so it fits your life, wherever you are. Sessions are $150. We begin with a 6-week commitment, enough time to build real momentum.

Our work together begins with a creative audit, a focused conversation to explore where you are right now: what you're making, what's working, what's blocking you, and what the next meaningful step looks like. From there, every session is built around your specific path.

Each session moves through three pillars of consideration:

The craft
Your project. Your process. Your next step.
We take a deeper look into your creative process, including the boundaries around your time and energy that it takes to be creatively generative. We make the abstract concrete, every single session. After six weeks you might have: a completed short film script, your first ten pages of a feature, a treatment, a festival strategy, a pitch deck, or a clear roadmap for your next year.
The purpose
Creative unblocking. Cultural context. Lineage.
We work through Julia Cameron's beloved Artist's Way, even if you've already started it. We also investigate the web of relationships that your work creates: its cultural context, its curatorial framework, and how it relates to broader lineages of tradition, history, and the contemporary space. The goal is a sustained relationship to your own work that holds through the hard weeks, not just the inspired ones.
The business
Strategy. Positioning. Real opportunity.
We seek real, tangible, paid opportunities for you to advance your career, and support you in packaging yourself to open new doors. Funding, marketing, festival submission, institutional partnerships, grant-writing, portfolio and resume review, the practical infrastructure nobody hands you, from someone actively navigating it right now.

Who I am

Daniel Croix
Daniel Croix @daniel.croix

My name is Daniel Croix. I'm an actor, writer, director, and producer, and I've spent my career moving between all of it deliberately.

On screen, 119 episodes across BET's The Oval, Apple TV+'s Manhunt, and Hulu's Love Victor. On stage, with Broadway directors Kenny Leon at The Public Theater and Knud Adams in the world premiere of Jiehae Park's the aves. As a filmmaker, I founded Ringshout Productions with a slate spanning Sundance, Lincoln Center, and festivals across four continents.

I completed the HIFILM Producers Lab, founded the Lorna Hill Artist Fellowship, and have spent years mentoring emerging artists. I know what it takes to sustain a creative life across multiple lanes and grow them together.

This practice came from something simple: friends with real ideas and no clear path that was working. I know what it feels like to sense greater potential within, and need some support to unlock it.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from having an agent or manager?

Agents and managers work to find and negotiate opportunities. This practice works on you: your craft, your creative process, your positioning, and your sense of direction. Most agents and managers are working across many clients and careers. Here, you get focused, consistent, one-on-one attention that is entirely about your specific path. The two work best together.

Is this for beginners?

Yes, and no. It's for anyone with a genuine creative impulse and a willingness to do real work. Some of the most transformative results I've seen have been with people just starting out. Some have been with seasoned professionals hitting a ceiling. What matters isn't where you are, it's that you're ready to move.

What does a typical session look like?

We begin our work together with a creative audit: a focused conversation about where you are, what's working, and what's in the way. From there, each weekly session is built around your specific project and path, moving through craft, purpose, and business. Every session ends with one clear, concrete next step.

How long do people typically work with you?

We start with a 6-week commitment. After that, sessions continue on a rolling weekly basis for as long as the work is serving you. Some clients work through a single project. Others stay as their creative life evolves. There's no pressure either way.
